My Communicator mouse (VP6410) goes through batteries very quickly. How long should a set of batteries last?     mouse sleep

Under normal use, a set of batteries in the VersaPoint Communicator mouse should last around three weeks. If your mouse does not have a power switch, then it goes into automatic standby/sleep mode.

There are four sleep levels. After one second, it goes into standby.
After 11 seconds, it goes to sleep and the current draw drops some more, and some more after 2 minutes. If left unattended for more than 22 minutes, it goes to deep sleep which requires a button press to wake it up. The current draw at that point is very minimal at about 45 uAmps.
