Please download the latest version (3.3) from our web site, www.smklink.com. Select the Customer Care tab -> Download Center.

How do I change channels (or address) on the RemotePoint RF, VersaPoint RF keyboard or RemotePoint RF Combo?     Channels

To change the channel, reset the DIP switches on the receiver (located between the antenna and the cable on back of the unit). For the new channel to take effect, you must unplug the receiver and after 5 seconds plug it back in or restart the computer.

Look at the label on the bottom of the receiver to identify the channel you want, and then match the transmitter (handheld unit) to that channel number.

To program the transmitter, simultaneously hold down the left and right arrows for about 10 seconds. You should see the backlights flash after 10 seconds.

Once the backlights flash, press the button with the channel number that matches the receiver. For channel 5 or higher, first push the LASER button, then the button that is 4 less than the channel you want. Channel 5 would be LASER button plus number 1.

There are similar DIP switches in the keyboard's battery compartment. Set them to the same position as the ones on the receiver.

I only use my RemotePoint RF for presentations. The rest of the time I use the standard mouse on my computer. How do I get it NOT to load automatically when my computer starts up?     startup

Go to startup,
Find the program RemotePoint RF,
Drag it to you desktop and drop it.

Now it will only start when you click the RemotePoint RF program icon on your desktop.

I've uninstalled RPRF 3.0 but I still get an error message saying I need to remove a previous installation before I can install another one.     Cleanup

Does the RemotePoint RF work in a MAC.     Mac rf

The RemotePoint RF works in a MAC as a one button mouse. You must use the USB port. The programmable buttons will not work in a MAC. The software on the CD should not be loaded, as it will not work on a MAC OS.

Will RemotePoint RF work on an NT workstation?

Because Windows NT does not support USB, the software was not configured to work in NT.

RemotePoint RF will work in Windows NT workstation as a two-button wireless mouse with a laser pointer. This will allow you to use it to control the slide transitions in PowerPoint.
